playing in the snow

the were so excited to be able to put on their snow gear and go play in the snow!  first time this season.  they played in the empty fountain on the property and had a ball.  they were outside for over an hour.  i love that they have each other to play together!

Smile

Last Friday when I left work it was snowing. There was a random guy, probably a tenant, making this cute snowman! It's right at the first corner going to the apartments so everyone will pass it. He didn't have much of it done when I left for my Girl's night with Sara. But I was delighted when I came home and saw it completed. It definitely made me smile, enough that I backed up and took a photo. I think it's great that a grown man took the time.

And then the very next day some douche bag ran over it.

Can't we all just get along?

Since I was too chill to care about processing photos last night...

...here they are.
I like the scarf, even in the light of day. :)
And since I make up my own pattern as I go along, this baby has now spawned ideas for three more. :) Can hardly wait. This time of year is usually the time that I either become obsessed with either crocheting or painting ceramics. The latter is because of Kristen. She got me into that way back in 2000! I had so much fun sitting at her house night after night watching great shows and painting on the card table. :) The past couple of years it's been crocheting. Perhaps this year I'll be in the mood for both.

I was able to sleep in today till 11:00. That was a beautiful thing. Granted I didn't fall asleep till 2:30 am but still. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! Especially since it sounds like they didn't get any sleep. :(

I thought it was kind of ironic that I happened to wear my snow man sweatshirt yesterday.
I still cannot believe we've already had our first snow! Ick.

It is kind of pretty though.

Flower was only home for an hour before we took her to a Birthday Party for Madeline. This is her first friend party where she was dropped off to wreak havoc at someone's party! :) She was very tired and grumpy for the hour that she was here so I felt bad leaving her with an unsuspecting Sara. But now that I'm in the quiet of my home, I'm kind of laughing thinking about Sara pulling her hair out as she deals with that many 3 and 4 years olds. *insert evil laugh here* :)
Since I was there I dropped off my swap loot to my partner. Obviously, I had Sara. So if you entered the giveaway, this is what you have to look forward to. Or dread if you thinks it's lame. And in that case feel free to remove your name from the list and don't ever talk to me again. :)
This bottle is my favorite part.

I also really like the bin and came this close *holding up index finger and thumb to show an inch* to shoving all the loot into a grocery sack so I could keep it. :)

We have a busy evening ahead with another birthday party and plenty of immaturity to go around and I'm looking forward to it very much. Stay tuned.
Happy Saturday to you and you and you.

Lazy days of....Spring?

What is with this weather?! Yesterday we woke up to snow!
I am so done with it and need the sun to start shining down on me! Perhaps it's contributing to feeling out of sorts the last couple of days. I've just been sooo tired. It has made me just want to lay around and watch movies with KG and Flower though. That's always a good thing. The night before last we cuddled up on the sofa with popcorn and strawberry daiquiris that Flower helped me make. We watched Enchanted. I think KG liked it as much as Flower and me. Yesterday, midmorning, I was cuddled up with a blanket reading. I fell asleep about 11. Flower finally joined me on the sofa and we both slept till 2:00!

That is so unlike me. I had the phone forwarded to me from the office so when the calls started rolling in I got up and got to work. The same can be said for today. I fell asleep with Flower for her nap time and now I'm just getting ready to go the office. This is how I felt when my thyroid was out of whack. I've been more tired then normal for about two weeks but the last few days have required a nap just to get through the day. I'm hoping it's just my body fighting off the cold I can feel coming on.
On a different note. There are two little girls that hang out in the clubhouse after they get out of school. The day before yesterday they came into the office and sat at the extra desk. Before I know it they were copying what they were hearing me say on the phone. One of them was playing 'manager' and the other 'prospective tenant'. It was so cute! The one girl was saying things like, "what size apartment are you looking " and "what is your price range". Then the other girl said, "I make about a million dollars a month and want the biggest one you have." :)
The whole little encounter between the two of them just gave me warm fuzzies. And the thing was, they were so good and quiet. I really wouldn't have known they were there if I hadn't been staring at them, longing for the days of the past that me and my sister and brother would play school, grocery store, and rental store(we grew up in the furniture business).
Yesterday Flower went to the office with me so she joined them.
She was having so much fun with them. I loved watching their interaction. :o)
Life is good.

Let's kick it.

can you dig it?
