preschool at linder farms

on october 24th, about the coldest day at the time, we went to linder farms for river's preschool. it was brutally cold. we bought a hot chocolate to attempt to warm us but it didn't last long. the kids played in the corn box, then we saw the animals and then went on the hay ride to find the perfect pumpkin. river saw a field full of tiny pumpkins and that's what she wanted. then when we arrived at the spot we were told we had to pick from...no tiny pumpkins. she was so disappointed. so imagine her delight when we walked closer to the rope and discovered a tiny pumpkin that had rolled into the 'ok zone'. in my opinion that made it fair game! she swiped it up and had a smile on her face the rest of the day. all the other kids were trying to find the biggest one they could carry. the way the other kids looked at her with her small pumpkin made me laugh, but she was totally confident! we bailed shortly after that because it was miserable! it was supposed to be a 2 hour field trip and we made it about 45 minutes. :)
