rad little fishies

on friday the girls went swimming with carol while i worked. it was so nice! and the girls are doing so well in the pool. flower is becoming so confident. she can now swim a good distance with her head under the water. she can go from one end of the pool to the other with ease. river now jumps in all by herself, goes under the water, bobs back up and swims to the side! i'm amazed. i think that's pretty awesome for 19 months old. she swam half the length of the pool! it was a proud mommy day with both girls.

i'm so grateful for tenants that love my girls and beg to take them swimming while i work. it's a huge help to me!

welcome home ryan!

on wednesday evening, after casa mexico, we went to the grey hound bus station to meet kg's brother, ryan! he was released from federal prison in california and finally made it to boise. he was there for almost 7 years. i can't believe we haven't seen him in that long. plus prior to that he was in and out of prison here, so it's just been way. too. long! it was so neat to see him meeting the girls for the first time. a few times over the span of seven years i had sent lots of pictures but we were awful about writing letters and sending photos regularly. :( sorry ryan. anyhow, i really hope and pray that this will be it for him. i'm excited to see where life takes him.

awesome emi strikes again...and again.

emi had a raffle on her blog a few weeks ago and i won a $10 gift card to sonic! thanks emi.
as if that wasn't enough, emi came to the mainland from hawaii. she hosted a big gathering at casa mexico on wednesday night. she and gavin, her son, hosted a LIVE raffle and we totally scored. i won a $15 gift card to walgreens and river won a $20 gift card to target. and it gets even more awesome. she generously treated us to dinner as well. thanks so much emi and gavin!
