flower's school party

tuesday the 18th flower had a party at school. it was in celebration and a reward for the tests they had taken the previous week. it was such a fun party. each station had learning activities with food to show that you can turn anything into a learning experience. kg and i volunteered together and therefore took river so she was able to participate. flower's teacher went out of her way to modify all of the activities for flower's new eating habits. that meant so much to me. she didn't have to miss out on any of the fun!
at this station they got to make 'dominoes' out of food. they gave flower an apple slice rectangle, natural peanut butter and raisins. the other kids had a graham cracker piece, frosting and chocolate chips.
at this station they made cars our of celery, natural peanut butter, tooth picks, carrots and raisins.

at this station they each practiced writing their letters with frosting on a flattened cookie dough(the cookies were then baked). flower had another apple slice with natural peanut butter to write on the apple.
they then made worms in dirt. chocolate pudding, crushed oreos for dirt and a gummy worm. flower's was sugar free jello, apple sauce and cinnamon for dirt and sugar free worm. so cute.
river was having so much fun in this environment!

it was a really fun morning and flower was so happy that her whole family could be there to help!
