california::day 7-universal studios

october 20th we spent the day at universal studios. first we made a stop to get doughnuts. mmm.


and we all got delicious hot chocolate.

we each only had a few bites before we needed some real food!
but first we had to find river some new shoes. she ripped her crocks.
the girls were trying on any fancy shoes they could find.
by the time we got to universal it was lunch time so we ate at pink's.




those girls are so dang cute!


we finally made it!



we tried to go on this ride but decided against it because we would have been dealing with the girls having nightmares!




we had fun gathering all the balls and loading them in the tubes...

...to go up into this bin...
until we heard the alarm indicating we had filled in enough and it was dumping the balls!

so much fun.

i love her face. it was scarier than she thought it would be but she knows she had fun and she doesn't want to admit it!



there were several rides that the girls couldn't ride. i don't enjoy going by myself. i like to immediately look over at the person i'm with when the ride ends and share that reaction. however, we heard the mummy was not to be missed. i finally caved and went by myself and then kg went. it.was.awesome! unlike any ride i've been on before.

river loves scary things so she got a big kick out of all the halloween decor. flower could have done without!
again, their personalities shine! :)
we had a great time. however, i think i'd rather hit universal without the kids. i think it would be such a fun date place!
after a fun and long day we ate dinner at wolfgang pucks restaurant. it was delicious!




then we stopped by sugar. miss marilyn is made completely of jelly belly's. so cool.


all the mannequin's dresses were made of candy.







such a fun store!
we caught a bit of a chris brown concert.


we finished out the night at yogurtland.
