The Nephews

My nephew Adam has been in town for the summer and we finally took the opportunity to spend some time with him. He requested that my other nephew also spend the night with him so we made the arrangements for last Monday. That night we taught them about Letter Boxing. First we stopped at Pita Pit for dinner to be eaten later. Both the boys didn't want it and said they didn't like pitas. We didn't give them a choice and told them all they had to do was try one bite. We drove to a spot by the Green Belt where our first Letter box clue was located. We found a spot in the grass to eat dinner.

They both devoured their pita, with no trace of a crumb left behind. Silly kids!

After taking some fun photos on the bus, we were off on our treasure hunt.

We followed the clues to two boxes and the boys had a blast!
They did a great job at being secretive and spy like.

It was Flower and my job to be on the look-out for other people. You don't want people to see the boxes, otherwise, they tend to get vandalized.

We took a break from our duties for a chance to be cheesy!

The boys first agreed that Spencer would go first. Once he spotted all the spider webs he wanted nothing to do with it. Adam, the little monkey that he is, gladly jumped up and took care of business.

The next box was hidden a bit further down and Spencer was more willing to dig for that one since he could use his shoe.

They both got to participate and some passers-by offered to take a group photo for us.
They asked what the significance of the sign was. :) They had no idea what we were doing and the boys were proud that our cover hadn't been blown. We had a great time with Adam and will miss him when he goes back to Arizona.
