The things she says

There are a few things Flower is saying lately that I want to note for my journal.

Her favorite thing to say right now is "Oh wow!" or "Oh boy!" to just about anything. We think she got 'oh boy' from Strawberry Shortcake because shortly after she started saying that she said, "oh boy strawberry land!". Although neither of us recalls hearing that in there, she likely pays more attention.

KG had been doing pronunciation with her recently with many words to help her learn how to say them correctly. The other day she looked at him and said, "strawbaby". He didn't correct her this time so she looked at him and very deliberately said, "STRAW-BA-BY" very slowly. He just cracked up. At least she knows how to enunciate. He then helped her say, "straw-ber-ry". She then repeated it so proudly and then had to teach me how to say it. I got a great big "Good job mom" when I said it correctly.

She is getting into a bratty stage and when you are doing something she doesn't want you doing, she scrunches of her nose and hisses, "YOU KNOCK IT OFF!". It's so hard not to laugh. She will also say, "GO AWAY!" and "CUT IT OUT!". Lovely.

She is also telling us very clearly what she doesn't want to do now. For example, we will tell her to go potty and she looks at us and says, "i don't want to go potty" in such a snotty voice.

She is very into saying, "What's that?" about everything and just recently started saying, "what's that from?".

She loves to study people and mimic their every move. We are in Arizona right now and were walking down the side walk. I was behind keeping with Flower's pace. Adam was in front of us with one hand behind his back and the other one holding it there. She had to stop and get her arms just right before she could proceed. Then when we were leaving a Science Museum Justin had one hand on his hip and the other in his pocket and again she wanted hers just like his before she'd continue.

On our first night in the hotel she wanted to sleep in the bed with us. That didn't last long and here's why: she kept kissing KG's nose and then would say, "you better believe it" and then just giggles to pieces! She just cracks herself up! She gets super silly and bounces around and says cute things. We giggle with her and have fun but eventually we do need sleep and put on a homemade bed on the floor.

we went out to dinner and she was doing something she wasn't supposed to. I asked her why she was doing that and so quick and sure of herself she said, "BECAUSE"! Like that was all I needed to hear for it to be ok!

She is such a little squirt with a big personality that we are loving to pieces! She fits in so well with us and keeps us smiling and laughing!

We're not sure where she gets these things?
