7-layer dip and Razzleberry Pie...

...were the snacks of choice at our last stop of the Thanksgiving day.
After leaving Twin Falls we were thrilled to discover that KG's fam didn't eat until around 4:00. That meant that we could make it there in time for games and spend the rest of the evening. We went straight there from Twin, arriving at 6:30 and I'm really glad we did. We played several hands of Mexican Train Dominoes. Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Steven hadn't met River yet so they all had their turn as well.

It was a great ending to our holiday and we are so glad we got to spend so much time with family and friends this Thanksgiving.

Stuffing and Rolls...

...were definitely my favorite things at our meal on Thanksgiving day. The Sturgill's invited us to Twin Falls to enjoy the day with their family. We followed them over and it was so fun! Since Kris and KG were driving, Jer and I texted each other most of the way, slinging banter back and forth. We were laughing so hard. It was very fun. Matt and Tyler were also in their car and we enjoyed their company throughout the day as well. It was so cute to see them holding River!
No one there had met River yet so she was passed around accordingly. And Flower was doted upon as usual. There were two boys there that she had a lot of fun with. They went on a mint leaf hunt together through the yard and played on the swing set. They also had great fun in the toy closet before ending the day watching Wall.E.
We LOVED the food. It was so good. And the company was even better. It was all very relaxing. I enjoyed being around them again while KG was just meeting Grandma, Grandpa and Julie for the first time. I just love them! There was also some friends that came that we were all meeting for the first time and getting to know. It was all lovely .

On the way home Jer drove so Kris and I texted the entire way. We never run out of things to talk about and I love it. More laughter ensued and it sure made the ride go by faster.
We all made it back to town without incident.

Mashed Potatoes and Mom's jello...

...are the two things I love the most about our Thanksgiving meal. My family always celebrates Thanksgiving on Wednesday night. Thereby freeing up Thursday for football watching for all those obsessives in my family...myself not included! My brother hosted and we had a great time. The food was tasty. The theme of the night was everyone ogling over River. Those that hadn't met her took their turn in holding her. There was also throwing and flipping of the children by my brothers. Some were also perched on high ledges a few times as well as various balancing acts. We like to live dangerously and start them young.

We talked, laughed and enjoyed each others company.
We also celebrated my Mom's birthday and baby brothers birthday. Happy Birthday peeps.

Let's kick it.

can you dig it?
