Taking the kids to work.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week I worked 10:00-6:00 pm, open to close. Lynnette and her sisters took their mom to Seattle to see The Lion King. That left me solo. Most of you are probably bocking at those hours, only being 8 and all. But I had to have the girls here with me so it was tough. They were both very good and it wasn't super busy so that made it easy. And at time it was pretty enjoyable. However, by Wednesday at noon we had all had it. River wouldn't stop crying and Flower was being so obnoxious. I finally left at 2:00 and took them home and planted myself on the sofa for an hour of peace and quiet. I was about to lose my marbles. I have to admit that coming in today has been lonely. And seeing her cute face staring at me all day made it hard to complain. :) I had her bumbo sitting up on the desk right next to my computer so I was looking at her constantly. Every time I'd make eye contact she'd smile. Her smiles sure made the day fly by!

This girl has so many smiles. She will do the one below, or half smiles to either side, nose scrunched, nose not scrunched, sometimes one dimple, sometimes two, most of the tim eyes open but sometimes closed. I do love the curve of her top lip when she smiles.
Believe it or not her full smile is bigger and better than this. Her full smile is so big, nose scrunched up, both dimples in full glory and her body shakes with happiness.
And after that kind of smile, she does this move that is just too hard to explain. She bows her head down and her face goes a little red like she's embarrassed and then she draws her hands up to her face. I tried to catch it here but it happens to fast. It's so cute.
And then it starts over. And with every smile she gives, she has the most amazing twinkle in her eyes. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. Her smiles always start in her eyes with that sparkle.
