First FHE of 2008

For our first Family Home Evening of the year, we kept Flower busy on an activity so that we could go over our budget. Yay.

First she colored the black circles on her page. Then she glued the already colored circles onto those black circles. Now she could really tell it was a caterpillar. Each circle was colored, which she can identify. Each one also had a number. She can count and was able to tell me which number by counting the dots below the written number, but she doesn't know what each number look likes so that's something we're trying to teach her. She also learned what the letter C looks like and that C stands for caterpillar. She really had fun with it! It now hangs on our door.

We didn't have nearly that much fun. How fun could refining a budget really be?!
Ignorance is definitely bliss when it comes to the budget! But that doesn't last long! We always like to refine things at this time of year since a little more then normal was spent in November and December. I'm actually excited to tighten things up and work towards simplifying life by under spending and under indulging! Working towards some bigger items rather then more stuff!
Here's to having fewer 'things' in 2008! :)
