Another long post to catch up.

Today was crazy. It started out chill. River and I slept in till 10:00 am! We got 8 hours of sleep with her waking up at the four hour mark to eat but then going back to sleep. It was so nice with her asleep on my chest. KG took Flower to preschool and then he was at karate. At 11:15 I went to pick up Flower from preschool and then went to Madeline's house to pick her up. She was coming over to play. It was so fun to listen to them having a little adult conversation all the way home. They talked about their birthdays, preschool teachers, pets, little sisters and brothers. So cute. They had a lot of fun but River was really fussy. It got a little stressful trying to keep them all quiet in our tiny space so KG could sleep. Madeline also didn't believe me when I told her we didn't have a backyard. She kept looking for it. :)
I did have all three of them quiet and content for about 40 minutes when I put in Mickey Mouse's Christmas. That was nice.

Flower went to work with me today after Madeline left. Monday and Wednesday she had a total meltdown with KG when she woke up from her nap. Something little has set her off both times and she gets nasty. One thing we noticed, just prior to the melt down she asked where I was and seemed upset that I was at work. Maybe she was feeling left out. So I decided to take her with me today. She did great watching Peter Pan and enjoying pretzels and water, her office staples.

We just got back from having a Mexican dinner with J & K. I showed them Jenna's wedding gift and I'm so glad they love it. I'm very anxious to see her reaction. Flower's behavior at dinner was a testament to how much she still needs naps. Since she had a friend over she didn't get one. Wow was she obnoxious. It was embarrassing. We still had a good time and I hope they did. We went home loaded with broccoli and lemons, to be used at our ward party on Saturday, and a big bag of Clementines that I asked Kris to get from Costco. I love these lovely little orange treats this time of year!

Tuesday was one of those days of feeling blah. It will always be our worst day because of everything we have going on. We will all always be tired and worn out on Tuesdays. It really could have gone down hill real quick. My friends helped turn it in the right direction real fast! I got a a sweet text from Kris at just the right time.
Then my friend Aimee and her husband stopped by. They were in town for just one day from Washington. And they found time to squeeze me in. She said she had a little something to bring. Of course I assumed it would be for River. Nope. It was for ME! :) It is such a sweet little necklace and I love it! I've wanted something that has my girls names on but didn't want something cheesy like most things I've seen so far. This is perfect!
Friends are the best.
Monday I found River sleeping with her hands clasped. So cute.
I returned to work on Monday. Of course I'd rather not because who would but the fact that KG is here with the girls and it's only two hours and it's where I live, well, it's no big deal. And Barb fell while she was in Hawaii for Thanksgiving and broke her arm. So she won't be going back right away so Lynnette has been carrying the load alone for three weeks! Plus, Lynnette gave us a holiday goody plate filled with yummy treats. That was a nice welcome back. Flower loved the fudge as is evidence in this photo. I loved the minty chocolate.
On Saturday I finally got the cloth diapers out. They are just so much cuter then regular diapers! Never mind the fact that they are kinder to the environment and our wallet! It's a win win. This size will fit till she's 20-25 pounds and then we'll switch to the ones we had with Flower. No more spending money on diapers for us! Now how to get the price of formula down.
You'll notice her nasty little cord is finally gone. Just a few days ago. Man that was fowl!
She has been paying a little more attention to her hands lately, and they are finding their way into her mouth.
I've had fun getting some of the dresses out that I made for Flower. The fact that she can wear this dress, even though it was made for Flower as a two year old and she can still wear it as a shirt, is precisely why I love pillow case dresses. They fit up to 6 sizes at a time! Total value.

And she's done being my model.
Last Friday the 5th my sister had Flower spend the night. This is the kind of stuff Flower needs! She is having trouble adjusting and when she gets to do extra things it helps. Saturday she went with them to their ward party where she got to sit on Santa's lap. She asked for a Cinderella dress...good thing I have an 'in' with Santa, and Cinderella's prince to go with the carriage she received last week...let's hope Kris has 'in' as well. :) She also had lots of fun playing with Ryker, the son of my sister's best friend.

After that she went with them to Boondocks for my brother-in-law's company party. She had so much fun! Then we picked her up from them on our way to the Goodsell's and she had a blast playing with a house full of boys. We went there so that I could make Christmas presents for five special people in our lives. We took a short break, leaving the kids, minus River, to watch a movie and went to eat at Mongolian BBQ. Once we returned we played games and talked. Rhonda and Eric joined us for the latter. This was the first time seeing River for all of them as well. And Isaac still doesn't believe that her name is River. :)

I love seeing my girls together.

Flower is a great helper.

Hopefully I can find more time to blog so that I'm not doing super long ones once a week but as least I've documented what I want to remember.
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting so many pics! I love to look at them!

Flower is such a sweetie. Can't say I blame her for needing a little extra attention though . . . normally little kids have at least a few months' warning before a new baby takes over their turf, and she had to just get used to it in a hurry.
