I can't let this day pass...

...without acknowledging what it means to us. It was this day in 2005 that Flower was saved from a big orphanage where she likely wouldn't have lived, and taken to live with Amanda. That is truly where her journey began. To read more about that day read Amanda's blog here. For us, that was the day our miracle began, we just didn't know it yet. Flower was without a doubt born to be our child and took a different route getting to us. Had Amanda not followed her heart and promptings, that may never have come true. We absolutely saw the hand of the Lord played out in our entire process, from that first day of her new life with Amanda, to the day we officially met in China. So many things that shouldn't have happened according to China's rules did happen in order for us to come together. So many things completely unheard of! And it all started with a scared woman in China taking on the challenge of her life!
Thank you Amanda. Thank you for putting our daughter, and the other five truly beautiful children, ahead of yourself and giving them a chance at life!
If you would like to read most of the process and journey we took in getting to Miss Flower you can read her page here. I kept that page during the entire process. You can read the blogs and read a section on the left that says 'The process of bringing me home from my mom's point of view!' There are also tons of pictures from her China life that I was soooo grateful to receive from Amanda during the whole process!
This is one of the photo slide shows from that site. It's from the first day with Amanda.

Hope you feel better soon. Thank Heavens the accident wasn't worse.
