I'm loving that I can do things in the midmorning/afternoon before I go to work. I do answer the phone from noon to six, but I can still go do things until I need to be at the office. I don't feel guilty anymore by going and having fun. Or sometimes we just sit home. But now I don't have to be worried that my boss is going to show up at my door and wonder why I'm not in the office. I was always afraid of that before on days that I just felt like Flower needed my time more then the office did.
Monday I put my laptop on her lap and she played on the Disney website. She LOVED it! Her favorite was a hide and seek game with the JoJo's Circus characters. She had to point the curser on a character she found hiding behind something at the circus. She was really good at it!
Tuesday Flower and I went to lunch with KG's mom. She had a meeting nearby so we went to Chef's Hut. Flower loved seeing Nei Nei during the day! I also enjoyed some good conversation. We also returned and rented some movies.
Wednesday we went downtown and to the Idanha to get my final phone payment from Kristen, the new manager. We then went to lunch at Taco Bell, returned the movies rented the day before to Blockbuster and made a stop at Jamba Juice. I almost didn't go, thinking we'd already had enough that day but I'm sure glad we did. We met a lovely lady there that started asking about Flower. She and her husband had just come home in January from getting their precious daughter from China! She is a month older then Flower. She waited for me to get my drink and then we walked out together so I could meet Kayla who was in the car with her dad and three older brothers! She is a doll! Super cute. She just had her palate repaired three weeks ago while her cleft lip was repaired in China. She is doing amazing. We exchanged numbers and I hope to get together sometime. I think the girls would love to play and I'd really enjoy getting to know this gal better. She was very friendly and lives near here.
Thursday, since KG was off the night before, we woke early and went to breakfast. We got cinnamon rolls at Mrs. Powell's in the mall. We then ran errands at Fred Meyer, got the emissions tested in the car...it failed, ugghh.....and made a stop at Walmart.
For the first time ever we let her ride on the toy that's sitting by the door.
As you can see we made her day!
KG then went to see a movie with John. Flower and I were going to go as well but since we were up so early, I fear I'd fall asleep and that she'd have a melt down since she was already getting a bit moody. The boys loved really enjoyed their movie!
Later that afternoon I found them cuddling in a chair watching videos online. I love seeing them cuddled up together like that.
This morning we painted!
Regretfully, I haven't done this with her yet. Flower loved it.
She's been really into wearing a wash cloth on her head this week too.
Weird.
Look at all the things I would miss if I wasn't able to stay home with her! I am so thankful.

Ang,
I am so glad that you are getting to spend the time with Flower. It is because of you that I also get to spend time with Tristan. We are very lucky! I am very happy you have joined our company!
Why is it that I am the only mom who bans things like paint and play doh from their kids? Oh well, they'll just be deprived. I love the picture of Flower riding the fire truck! Her expression is awesome!
