Depoe Bay, Newport and Seal Rock::day five

We left Lincoln City and continued south. We stopped in Depoe Bay.
We ate breakfast at a place called Gracie's Sea Hag. The decor was great. They had taken old 1940's and 50's photos and blown them up to poster size. They were very charming.
After breakfast we went to this whale watching tower. This was where we were to have our boat tour. :( Even today was too foggy. We were actually able to see some whales from the shore and used the binoculars provided free by the park services. It was pretty cool, and $60 cheaper than taking the boat. Flower loved 'driving the ship' any chance she got! After whale watching for awhile we headed further south to Newport. First we went to the Old Bayfront and walked around checking out the shops. We checked out the Undersea Gardens. It was cool and we made it just in time for a dive show. A gal dived into the "natural but contained" habitat that the fish were in.She showed us the different fish, eels, and crabs they have. She also brought out a huge octopus. The dude narrating the show was a little boring as he spoke in a monotone voice, but the show was cool. After the presentation we walked around. The whole thing is 10 feet under water in the bottom of an old ship, the walls were all windows so you can see everything around you. It was fun.

We left the Undersea Gardens and continued to walk around the different shops. We located a light house for my dad. He asked us to find one for him. We also revisited the hippie shop where we purchased a dress for Flower two years ago, months before we even had her. That dress was the first thing we ever bought for Flower. Keeping in tradition this time we bought some things for the new baby, including a similar dress. And of course we bought Flower another dress too. We thought this sign was fun.
We gazed at the water.

Then, as if we weren't cold enough all ready, we indulged in some Tillamook icecream. Yum!
After spending a large sum of money, we headed across the bridge further south. We stopped at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and spent a couple hours there. They had some very interesting displays, tide pools to touch some sea creatures, and a few shows feeding the animals. We took some great pictures of sharks, stingrays, sea horses, jelly fish, and lots of other fun sea animals.

All the photos from here until Flower is in the shark mouth are walking 'through' the aquariums. This was very cool!

Flower loved getting on the ground to look below too.

Flower's a deep sea diver.

I love this little guy with his tongue sticking out!

With our dirty minds we got a kick out of this sign.

And this brought a laugh too. We just can't help it.
I loved the strawberry anemone. It was really beautiful!

Flower and I crawled through a tunnel to be 'inside' this aquarium.

By the time we left we were pretty hungry and tired and Flower missed her nap today because of all of our activities. We stopped at the only restaurant in Seal Rock, Yuzen Japanese Cuisine.
He was very happy to see us. =) The food was tasty, and we had the best siberian sushi roll.

After stuffing our faces we rolled into camp and got checked in. We are staying at Seal Rock RV.
After setting up camp and settling down for the night Flower ended up falling asleep by 8, poor thing was so tired. I am just catching up on writing some blogs which I hope to be able to post soon. I finished watching Definitely Maybe from last night and really liked it. It was such a cute story line and concept!
Goodnight.
