Waldport and Florence::day five

I'm usually the first one awake in the morning. I read until Flower wakes up. She lets me know she's awake by peaking her head over the edge. It's a cute way to be greeted every morning and always makes me smile.
I just can't help myself with this next photo. Is this really the best art work to put in the men's bathroom? There are so many dirty things that can be said about this that I'll leave it at that and let you do the thinking.
After we got packed up we took a second to enjoy our view. Then we left Seal Rock and went to Waldport to eat breakfast. There was some beautiful scenery there as well.

We had the choice of two restaurants, Meatballs or The Salty Dawg. Oh my, we could not stop giggling at the innuendos of both, and chose the lesser of two evils so that we could actually finish our meal.We drove to Cape Perpetua, the highest point on the Oregon Coast, to see the amazing views. This would have been a really great place to hike and have a picnic had we known about it prior to seeing the sign. Next time.
You can see the ocean for miles and miles!

Continuing south we made a stop at the Sea Lion Caves. They take you down 200 ft., right inside a cave.
I couldn't use a flash in the caves so that explains the crappy photos but you get the idea.

What you don't get the pleasure of experiencing through my photos is the horendous smell! I thought for sure we'd reak of it the rest of the day!

We climbed to the Lighthouse look out area.

Standing in the line to go back to ground level. They make me smile.
Once we were back on ground level we were excited to be able to see more whales and actually get photos. This is always the most you can see of them. They come up quickly for air and go back under.

We enjoyed some more great views before continuing our trek south.

Soon enough we were in Florence where we camped for the night. We checked into Heceta Beach RV park and while Flower and I took naps, KG did laundry.
After that we went in search of dinner and touring the town. This is by far my favorite city so far, specifically Old Bay Front! It's so charming and laid back. Every store front had tables of people just sitting outside sipping coffee or wine and people watching.
We found a great pizza place! Actually it was a specialty wine store that just happen to have great food. We shared a cheese platter, one of the best salads I've ever had and then a scrumptious pizza!

Walking around the town we stumbled upon a toy store!!! Playing in toy stores on vacations has been a tradition of KG's and mine and I was delighted to find one! We could have spent a lot of time in there but it closed just 15 minutes after we arrived. :( We first went to the game area, as is customary, to find a game to play on the trip. Then we found a magnetic paper doll set for Flower. She banged on the toy piano the entire time we were there. :)
We went into a book store to browse. The ladies working there had so much fun watching Flower kick back to read and then go to the kids section and, after reading in the rocking chair, rearrange the furniture! She made herself right at home.

Finally we attempted to go to the beach. Flower has been wanting to play in the sand so bad. It was just so darn windy it didn't last long.

We finally sought refuge in the bus and played with Flower's new dolls.

She loved them! After she went to bed we played our new game, VisualEyes. It was pretty fun and a good close to the evening.
